Our guide is your ultimate companion for a seamless local move, providing the peace of mind you need to start your new chapter on the right foot.

Pre-move Preparation

  1. You are all set for the move day if you paid the deposit and signed the contract electronically.
  2. We always ask all clients to double-check all the information in the contract, such as addresses of the origin and destination (and all extra stops), contact information, moving date (VERY IMPORTANT), arrival window, inventory, all the notes, etc.
  3. Choose the coverage for your move (read more)
  4. If you are moving to or from an Apartment complex, check with the management of the building if they need the certificate of insurance for movers (COI for moving) , and if yes, please provide us with the requirements at least 72 hours before the move.

We are fully insured and  with our moving company certificate of insurance we can enter practically any apartment complex in US. However, we issue a movers certificate of insurance tailored for specific move and requirements of the building, if the COI is needed.

2 Days Before The Move

Our system will automatically send you a reminder one day before the move. Please, check all the important information again, and if there are any changes, please, let us know.

On The Move Day

At Origin Address

  1. Time of arrival. Expect our moving team to arrive at the scheduled time, ready to start the moving process. 

Our driver/foreman will call you from his phone on the moving date. Please do not ignore unknown numbers on your moving day, as our movers will try to contact you. 

Usually, the movers call 30-40 minutes before arriving. But sometimes they can be close to you. In any case, we won’t show up unannounced.

  1. Parking for the moving truck. If there are any directions for parking or special instructions on where and how to park the truck, please, let our driver know about it. Double-check with your building in advance to avoid riding around. We will place the truck in the best position possible to create an effective loading process.
  2. Walkthrough. The Foreman will introduce himself and the crew. They will make a walkthrough with you, check everything you have, and explain all the paperwork and charges. Feel free to ask your Foreman any questions. 
  3. House Protection: Walkways, doorways, and staircases might be covered with protective material to avoid damages and ensure safety.
  4. Professional Packing and Protection. Our expert movers, equipped with the right tools and packing materials, will handle your furniture with utmost care. Expect efficient, organized packing to ensure the safety of your items.
  5. Loading the truck. We usually first square furniture, beds and bed frames, and all the couches and armchairs.  But, all supervisors work in their style, and the queue may be slightly different.
  6. Last Check. After loading the truck, the Foreman will conduct another walkthrough to check whether they took everything and are ready to go. During this process, highlight any additional items you want to include in your move.

Ready to get on the road. Movers will review the destination address to ensure you are ” on the same page.”

At The Destination

  1. Walk through at the destination. When movers arrive at the destination, they will review with you where everything should go and how you would like to set up and layout all the furniture. They will use the protection for the house as at the origin.
  2. Unloading the truck. During unloading, movers will ask for directions on where everything goes. Labeling all the furniture with blue contraction tape is the best preparation method. It is a universal tape that does not stick or leave marks on walls, furniture, or glass. The boxes will be placed in the respective rooms and where you want them to be. Remember that good labeling will save a lot of time at this point.
  3. Unpacking the furniture. We might leave some furniture pieces padded until the end to ensure protection during unloading, while others are immediately unpacked. The moving blankets will be removed as items are safely situated and then returned and folded in the truck.
  4. Furniture Reassembly. If items need to be assembled, such as beds, our team members will put them together and finalize their placement.
  5. After unloading – the final walkthrough. Once everything is off the truck, we’ll make the final walkthrough of your home with you to ensure everything is in its place. Our team can make in house moving and adjust the location of items.  You can also check the truck inside that it is empty and all your belongings are delivered.
  6. Payment options. When all the furniture is set up, the truck is empty & ready for the next job; the Foreman will stop the time, assemble all the numbers, and return to you. He will explain the contract and the payment options.  

If you pay with a card, he will collect the card number, expiration date, and security code (remember that all cards are subject to a 4% processing fee). 

If you pay with cash, he will include a cash discount. 

If you make a Zelle Transfer, our Foreman will provide you with the phone number or email for the transfer.

  1. Receipt and contract. We will email you your contract and payment confirmation.

Post-Move Essentials

  1. Tips for movers: While not obligatory, it’s customary to tip movers, especially if they’ve done an exceptional job. 
  2. Review and Feedback: Leaving a review for the moving company helps us to improve. Share your experience, highlighting the positives and pointing out any areas for enhancement.
  3. Unpacking at Your Pace: While it’s tempting to unpack everything immediately, take your time. Start with essentials and gradually set up your new space to make it feel like home.
